Gamers L.A.B. Introduces REST API for Somnia Blockchain Integration

Uprising Labs Launches Gamers L.A.B. on Somnia to Power Web3 Game Data Layer
Web3 game publisher Uprising Labs has launched Gamers L.A.B. ,the platform is built on Somnia it is the high-performance Layer 1 blockchain designed for real-time applications. This combination brings gameplay metadata fully on-chain, which gives new opportunities to the developers and delivers rich experiences for players.

Gamers L.A.B. introduces a toolset which allows games to capture and interact with live gameplay data directly on-chain. At its core is Battle Records, a new open standard for storing game metadata that can be adopted across multiple games and platforms.

By leveraging Somnia’s architecture, which supports over 1 million transactions per second, sub-second finality, and sub-cent transaction costs, Gamers L.A.B. has the throughput and responsiveness to log every key in-game event. This enables a new class of composable, data-driven gameplay experiences that persist across titles.

Battle Records allows developers to track and store gameplay data such as  kills, assists, match results, and strategic decisions, and all of them directly on-chain. This information is easily accessible through a REST API, streamlining integration without any deep blockchain knowledge.

But the impact goes beyond integration ease. On-chain games bring new features, such as real-time prediction markets where fans can bet on what’s going to happen, bringing new energy to streamers and community-driven games. These are some of the examples of what can be done on-chain.

Gamers L.A.B. is the first infrastructure layer to fully harness this potential, laying the groundwork for a new game design.

Gamers L.A.B shows what things can become possible when performance is no longer the bottleneck”, said by Somnia Founder Paul Thomas. And by moving games fully on-chain, it enables developers to create new kinds of gameplay systems that are transparent and interoperable. This is a kind of innovation for which the Somnia is built.

By giving developers real-time access to structured gameplay data, Gamers LAB unlocks smarter systems that make games more engaging, dynamic, and rewarding for players.

“Gamers L.A.B. redefines not just what we store on-chain, but how we use it,” said Uprising Founder Eric Vander Wal. “Web3 has focused on decentralizing data ownership. Now it’s time to unlock its full potential. With Gamers L.A.B., developers can store vast amounts of data and build systems that reward users, empower communities, and drive deeper engagement with their favorite games.”
